Where bold ideas meet real-world challenges. Join developers, researchers, students, designers, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders to turn ideas into practical technology-driven solutions for sport and beyond.
TRAIL stands for Technology, Research, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Leadership. This 24-hour sports-focused innovation hackathon challenges participants to use collaboration, mentorship, rapid prototyping and pitching to create practical solutions for sporting experiences, accessibility, mobility, health, event operations and tourism.
The focus is on building and validating useful solutions, not just presenting ideas.
Build practical solutions using software, digital platforms, connected devices and emerging tools.

Practise teamwork, ethical decisions, communication and ownership.
Explore real-world challenges where technology, research and emerging tools can make a difference.
Develop solutions for training, coaching, performance, talent identification, sports management and fan engagement.
Build assistive technologies, accessible navigation and adaptive sports tools that improve inclusion and independence.
Explore accessible transport, event logistics, route planning and sustainable mobility for sporting events and communities.
